Bill’s talk will focus how the debt markets have evolved over the last 25 years. This will cover a basic discussion of collateralizing debt contracts (CDOs) and specifically mortgages. The talk will emphasize what went wrong and why, but also will deal with the fact that a lot of risky debt did just fine during the collapse. The talk will conclude with what we have learned from the financial meltdown.
