Every year the mushroom festival in Telluride attracts individuals of all types. Whether it is a professor presenting on using mycology for bioremediation, an icon like Paul Stamets discussing the cancer curing properties of mushrooms, or a chef demonstrating how to cook obscure fungi, the information can make even the most dedicated mycologist's head spin.On Monday, April 9th, Scott Koch from the mushroom festival will be giving attendees a taste of the many ideas discussed at the festival when he comes to the Wilkinson Public Library at 6:00 p.m. This month, Scott will give a presentation on local mushrooms and how we can use these mushrooms for local gain. He will begin by discussing the scientific benefits of mushrooms and then end with some more radical ideas that are sure to inspire all who attend.
