Compassion Festival at the Library

We are very pleased to be working in collaboration with the Compassion Festival this week.  You can find out details about attending the festival at:  www.compassionfestival.org/telluride-ideas-festivals.html

Compassion Festival events at the Wilkinson Public Library:

Yoga with Rebecca Meyer at 7 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Friday, July 20th 3-5 pm  "Feeding Your Demons" with Debra Quayle Travis (Resident Teacher at Tara Mandala Retreat Center, Pagosa Springs)
Feeding your Demons is a practice that is based on the ancient Tibetan tradition of CHOD.  It is based on the principle of feeding your demons rather than fighting your demons and helps us move beyond dualistic struggle.  Compassionate nurturing rather than battling outer and inner challenges develops the potential for deep healing and helps us move from polarization to integration.

Saturday, July 21st  3-5pm  "The Toolbox Project"  Tools for Learning – Tools  for Life / Building children's resilience, self-mastery and empathy for others with Charles L Fisher, PhD  (Director of Programs for Dovetail Learning)
Experience how all children have an innate capacity for managing their own emotional, social, and academic success using 12 simple yet profound inner Tools that empower them.  Toolbox is an award-winning human development project that transforms schools to teaching what matters, changing the lives of children, teachers, and parents.

All of these events will be held in the WPL Program Room and are free to WPL Patrons and the community.
We hope to see you there.  Scott
